Our broad range of industrial scissor calliper and modular type disc brake systems are manufactured in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 9001 quality assurance system. They can be applied pneumatically, hydraulically, electrically or by spring (failsafe). Mechanical units can be used for light tensioning duties or where no external power is available.
A typical system comprises brakes, a disc and mounting pedestals, as well as, in some cases, a hydraulic power pack. Monitoring units and limit switches to indicate brake status and pad condition can be included in any package. As a rule of thumb, pneumatic brakes are the best for light-to-medium-duty and tensioning applications, which require tight control. Hydraulic brakes can be used in higher-torque requirements.
The key markets for our brakes include marine propulsion systems, metalworking and energy and applications such as elevators, escalators, shaft brakes, rolling mills, conveyors, hoists, cranes and grinding mills.
