Once the assembly is returned, it will be installed into the cutter drive line of a dredging vessel. This particular shrink disc is capable of transmitting a maximum torque of 600 kNm and accommodating shafts with a diameter of up to 310 mm and a weight of 440 kg. In addition to being fitted on couplings, these shrink discs are also frequently used with brake discs or flanges. Historically, the dredging and marine sector has been a very important market for St\u00fcwe and ourselves, and we are very happy to continue our long history of supplying customised shrink discs to this market. While that was not necessary for this particular application, St\u00fcwe products can be supplied with approval from classification societies if required.
